The Opportunity:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth continuation of learning during teacher absences, creating a positive and purposeful classroom environment. This role is ideal for those interested in education or with experience working with young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Support pupils with their learning during lessons where appropriate
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and report feedback to teaching staff
• Uphold the school’s high expectations for behaviour and engagement
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with children or young people (education experience desirable)
• The ability to manage a classroom confidently and calmly
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A professional, flexible, and dependable approach
• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Preferred

• Experience in education or teaching
• Familiarity with school policies and procedures
• A willingness to support the ethos and values of the school

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary of £22,000 per annum
• Permanent, term-time only contract (41.6 weeks)
