The Opportunity:

As a School Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the school buildings and grounds, ensuring they remain safe, clean, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the school buildings and grounds to a high standard, ensuring they are safe and welcoming.
• Carry out routine maintenance, repairs, and cleaning oversight across the site.
• Support site security and respond to any issues or defects that arise.
• Work collaboratively with the Site Manager and other Caretakers to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage shift patterns during term time and school holidays as required.
• Demonstrate initiative and flexibility in carrying out a varied range of duties.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• General maintenance skills in areas such as painting, plumbing, or joinery.
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• A proactive and positive attitude.
• Experience in a similar role, or the ability to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role.
• Experience with site security procedures.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
