The Opportunity:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will support teaching and learning by supervising lessons during short teacher absences. This role is ideal for those looking to gain experience in education and contribute to a supportive and dynamic school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise lessons in a range of subjects, using pre-set work provided by class teachers.
• Support students in a positive and engaging manner, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as needed.
• Assist with the management of the homework club after school.
• Maintain a professional and consistent approach to student behavior and learning.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning during absences.
• Provide feedback on student progress and behavior when appropriate.
• Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualifications at least to level 2 or equivalent.
• A genuine interest in young people and their learning.
• The ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
• Flexibility and a sense of humour.

Preferred

• Previous experience of working in the classroom.
• Experience in a school or educational setting.
• A commitment to student development and inclusion.
