The Opportunity:

As a Deputy Headteacher, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, helping to drive school improvement and strategic development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of teaching and learning across the school
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and improvement of the school
  • Inspire and motivate staff and students to achieve excellence
  • Oversee and manage key areas of school leadership, including curriculum, inclusion, and pastoral care
  • Promote and maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and student welfare
  • Work collaboratively with the Headteacher and senior leadership team
  • Ensure the effective implementation of school policies and initiatives
  • Support continuous professional development for staff

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a school setting
  • Strong track record in driving improvement and achieving educational outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
  • Relevant teaching or leadership qualifications

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum leadership or pastoral care
  • Familiarity with school improvement strategies
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar setting
  • Leadership in a school with a strong Christian ethos
  • Experience with inclusion and diversity initiatives
