The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Art and Photography Teacher to join a dynamic and well-supported department. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students at all Key Stages and contribute to a subject that is both popular and well-resourced. The position is part time, offering flexibility while supporting student growth and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art and Photography lessons across all Key Stages, including A Level.
  • Support student development through innovative and engaging teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Department to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of in-house Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
  • Encourage student creativity, self-expression, and academic achievement.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through pastoral and extracurricular activities.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Art and Photography education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Art and Photography.
  • Proven ability to teach at all Key Stages, including A Level.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital photography and art software.
  • Background in developing and leading extracurricular activities.
  • Experience with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) delivery.
  • Knowledge of Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
