Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole class and small group activities across a range of key stages
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and engagement of students during lessons
  • Support and assist teachers in maintaining a productive and focused learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with staff and students to ensure continuity of learning
  • Maintain accurate records and report any issues or concerns promptly
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to lesson planning and supervision
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support the school’s educational goals

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a supervisory or teaching role within an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and engage with students of varying ages and abilities
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Flexibility and willingness to work across different key stages and subjects

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role
  • Experience working in a co-educational independent school
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of pastoral care and student support
