Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver engaging and effective teaching programs.
• Set clear learning targets and monitor student progress to ensure academic growth and achievement.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student learning and development.
• Organize and lead enrichment activities that enhance students’ learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of student assessments and progress in line with school policies.
• Support the pastoral care of students, including form group responsibilities and PSHE delivery.
• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in History and Politics education.
• Strong knowledge of the Edexcel A Level Politics specification and GCSE curriculum.
• Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons to a range of abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Commitment to the school’s values and policies, including behaviour and pastoral care.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching A Level Politics and developing course materials.
• Familiarity with UK government and political ideas curriculum.
• Experience with international relations and twentieth-century history.
• Ability to lead and inspire students through innovative teaching methods.
