The Opportunity:
As a Creative Arts Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering a personalized and engaging curriculum tailored to the individual needs of students. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver person-centred Creative Arts lessons tailored to the needs of students across key stage 3 and 4.
- Monitor and review student progress, including social and emotional development, to ensure individual growth and achievement.
- Collaborate with multi-professional teams to create therapeutic and inclusive learning environments.
- Contribute to the development of a vibrant and innovative Creative Arts curriculum.
- Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and creative skills.
- Engage with students in a warm, nurturing, and inclusive manner.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute positively to the school community.
- Provide regular feedback to students and colleagues to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Creative Arts (Music, Art, or Drama).
- Strong understanding of person-centred practice and therapeutic learning environments.
- Experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties and/or Autism.
- Commitment to fostering student confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
Preferred
- Experience in SEMH or special educational needs provision.
- Familiarity with Skills Builder Frameworks and EHCP outcomes.
- Experience with oracy development and communication strategies.
- Passion for creative teaching and innovation in curriculum design.
- Background in collaborative team working and multi-professional environments.
