The Opportunity:

As a Creative Arts Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering a personalized and engaging curriculum tailored to the individual needs of students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver person-centred Creative Arts lessons tailored to the needs of students across key stage 3 and 4.
  • Monitor and review student progress, including social and emotional development, to ensure individual growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with multi-professional teams to create therapeutic and inclusive learning environments.
  • Contribute to the development of a vibrant and innovative Creative Arts curriculum.
  • Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and creative skills.
  • Engage with students in a warm, nurturing, and inclusive manner.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute positively to the school community.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and colleagues to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Creative Arts (Music, Art, or Drama).
  • Strong understanding of person-centred practice and therapeutic learning environments.
  • Experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties and/or Autism.
  • Commitment to fostering student confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.

Preferred

  • Experience in SEMH or special educational needs provision.
  • Familiarity with Skills Builder Frameworks and EHCP outcomes.
  • Experience with oracy development and communication strategies.
  • Passion for creative teaching and innovation in curriculum design.
  • Background in collaborative team working and multi-professional environments.
