Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering educational experiences tailored to students with autism and learning difficulties.
- Assist with positive behaviour management and implement individualised approaches to student support.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the school’s provision and services.
- Work collaboratively with education staff and other professionals to meet student needs.
- Provide assistance with daily classroom activities and general student care.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with teaching staff and parents.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good standard of English, Maths, and communication skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour in a positive and constructive way.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and individualised support.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with students with autism.
- Experience in a multi-cultural and inclusive environment.
- Strong interpersonal and team-working skills.
- Proficiency in ICT and basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
