Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing, exam-focused Business and Economics department.
  • Teach Economics and support students in understanding modern business and global economic trends.
  • Design and implement a relevant, forward-thinking curriculum aligned with current industry practices.
  • Model high-quality teaching and provide leadership to ensure strong student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to refine provision and deliver an engaging, ambitious learning experience.
  • Promote research-informed teaching practices and maintain high expectations for all learners.
  • Support professional development for staff and students within the subject area.
  • Champion inclusive and equitable learning opportunities for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Business and Economics at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver exam-based courses effectively.
  • Experience in curriculum leadership and team collaboration.
  • Commitment to student success and high academic standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
  • Background in research-informed pedagogy.
  • Experience in supporting student well-being and inclusion.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends in business and economics education.
