Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Maths and Science lessons at KS3 and KS4, ensuring students achieve GCSE passes.
• Develop and implement creative, therapeutic teaching strategies that support students with diverse and complex needs.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and innovative curriculum is delivered.
• Promote student well-being and ensure a calm, purposeful atmosphere in the classroom.
• Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and a belief in their own abilities.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to support learning and development.
• Participate in staff development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in Maths and Science at KS3 and KS4 level.
• Ability to teach both subjects with a passion for both.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
• Experience working with students who have complex needs or educational breakdowns.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
• Familiarity with restorative practices and inclusive teaching approaches.

Preferred

• Experience in alternative provision or special educational needs settings.
• Background in therapeutic or creative teaching methods.
• Experience with GCSE qualification pathways.
• Knowledge of restorative practice and student well-being strategies.
• Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive education.
