Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths and Science lessons at KS3 and KS4, ensuring students achieve GCSE passes.
- Develop and implement creative, therapeutic teaching strategies that support students with diverse and complex needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and innovative curriculum is delivered.
- Promote student well-being and ensure a calm, purposeful atmosphere in the classroom.
- Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and a belief in their own abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to support learning and development.
- Participate in staff development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Maths and Science at KS3 and KS4 level.
- Ability to teach both subjects with a passion for both.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
- Experience working with students who have complex needs or educational breakdowns.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
- Familiarity with restorative practices and inclusive teaching approaches.
Preferred
- Experience in alternative provision or special educational needs settings.
- Background in therapeutic or creative teaching methods.
- Experience with GCSE qualification pathways.
- Knowledge of restorative practice and student well-being strategies.
- Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive education.
