Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the English and Media Studies Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Support staff through professional development, mentoring, and collaborative planning.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring consistent achievement and improvement.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align faculty goals with school-wide objectives.
- Promote a culture of innovation and creativity in teaching and learning.
- Coordinate and deliver courses across the age and ability range, including A-level.
- Contribute to the ongoing success of the faculty through leadership and strategic planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching and leading a faculty in a school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in English and Media Studies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a large and diverse faculty team.
- Familiarity with A-level and GCSE courses in English and Media Studies.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Strong track record in raising student achievement and attainment.
