Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons that engage students and promote deep understanding of language and literature.

- Support students in achieving their full potential through personalised learning and formative assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Lead on literacy initiatives and contribute to whole-school improvement strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback to support learning and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s ongoing research-informed practice.
- Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to promote the value of language and literature.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
- Experience of teaching Language and Literature at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student-centred learning and inclusive education.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience of leading on literacy initiatives or curriculum development.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
- Experience of teaching at 11-19 level.
- Passion for research-informed teaching and continuous professional development.
