Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English and Drama in KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of teaching in KS5.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote student achievement and progress.
  • Implement the school’s strategic vision for English and Drama through long-term planning and curriculum development.
  • Suggest and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the school’s co-curricular performing arts programme and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant good honours degree.
  • Experience in teaching English and Drama in either the private or maintained sector.
  • A commitment to raising pupil attainment and a passion for the subject.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high standards in the classroom.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching across multiple key stages.
  • Involvement in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Experience with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
