Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and lead a high-quality science curriculum across all key stages.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure continuous improvement in learning outcomes.
- Support and mentor other science teachers to enhance teaching standards.
- Work closely with senior leadership to align curriculum goals with school objectives.
- Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and high aspiration among students and staff.
- Engage with the wider school community to enhance the science learning experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science.
- Proven experience in curriculum leadership, preferably within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of science education and current pedagogical approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunities.
Preferred
- Experience in leading curriculum development or improvement projects.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or working with diverse student populations.
- Leadership experience in a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational organization.
