Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and lead a high-quality science curriculum across all key stages.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure continuous improvement in learning outcomes.
  • Support and mentor other science teachers to enhance teaching standards.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to align curriculum goals with school objectives.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, and high aspiration among students and staff.
  • Engage with the wider school community to enhance the science learning experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science.
  • Proven experience in curriculum leadership, preferably within a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of science education and current pedagogical approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunities.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading curriculum development or improvement projects.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or working with diverse student populations.
  • Leadership experience in a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational organization.
