Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a high-quality Modern Foreign Languages curriculum.
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve academic and personal growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote best practices in teaching and learning.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress and attainment.
• Support the professional development of teaching staff.
• Engage with the wider school community to promote the importance of language learning.
• Ensure inclusive and accessible learning opportunities for all students.
• Contribute to the strategic development of the school’s curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in leading a Modern Foreign Languages department.
• Strong subject knowledge in Modern Foreign Languages, with a specialism in Spanish.
• Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunities.

Preferred

• Experience in a school under transformation or improvement.
• Familiarity with the Great Heights Academy Trust.
• Experience in working with students aged 11-16.
• Leadership experience in a Multi-Academy Trust environment.
