Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student progress.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential academically and personally.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular Science activities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Science education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant Science subject specialism.
  • Proven experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering Science at Key Stage 5.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Leadership experience or experience in mentoring other teachers.
  • Experience with data analysis and student progress tracking.
