Deputy Director of Learning - Mathematics role with a focus on improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.

The Opportunity:
As a Deputy Director of Learning - Mathematics, you will play a key role in driving academic excellence and raising standards in mathematics. This is an opportunity to lead and support a dedicated faculty, develop an inspiring curriculum, and make a meaningful impact on student achievement and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the mathematics department to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and attainment.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning to ensure consistent standards and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Director of Learning to shape the curriculum and support teacher development.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to teachers and support staff to enhance professional practice.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to learning.
- Promote a culture of innovation and creativity in mathematics education.
- Ensure the effective use of resources and data to inform decision-making and support student progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- Ability to teach to GCSE standard.
- Experience in leading a faculty and delivering sustained improvements in student attainment.
- Strong organisational, motivational, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve targets.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
- Experience with leadership in a school or academy setting.
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
- Experience with data analysis and performance monitoring.
