As a Deputy Director of Learning - Technical and Computer Science, you will lead and deliver outstanding learning and teaching in a disadvantaged community. This role offers the chance to inspire future leaders and make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Technical and Computer Science curriculum to ensure high standards and improved pupil outcomes.
  • Support and motivate colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets.
  • Deliver innovative and engaging teaching that enthuses and progresses learners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the faculty to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement school-wide strategies and initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of professional development and leadership within the department.
  • Ensure the curriculum meets the needs of all learners and aligns with school and Trust priorities.
  • Represent the school in external meetings and professional networks.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience teaching to GCSE standard
  • Proven ability to coach and motivate colleagues
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a successful faculty
  • Experience in delivering sustained improvements in attainment and achievement

Preferred

  • Experience in innovation and creativity within teaching and learning
  • Leadership experience in a school or academy setting
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery
  • Strong organisational and motivational skills
