The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student performance to ensure continuous improvement in learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in curriculum planning and contribute to the development of Science programs.
- Support the personal and academic development of students through pastoral care and mentorship.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
- Stay up to date with developments in Science education and integrate new teaching methods and technologies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant Science degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching Science at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with cross-curricular teaching and project-based learning.
- Familiarity with the Watergrove Trust and multi-academy trust structures.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Ability to support students with special educational needs.
