The Opportunity:
As a Deputy Head of Middle and Senior School, you will play a pivotal role in leading educational leadership, managing operations, and fostering a positive school climate. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of education and support both students and staff in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and manage daily operations, including relief teachers and scheduling for the Middle and Senior Schools.
- Coordinate and manage key events such as school photos, parent-teacher conferences, and subject selection evenings.
- Create and manage the timetable in collaboration with senior school leaders.
- Oversee pastoral and advisory programs through guidance and management of Year Level Coordinators.
- Support the Head of School in managing student behavior and pastoral care.
- Manage the subject selection process and academic review program.
- Provide coaching and feedback to staff to enhance learning outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with assessment and reporting guidelines.
- Contribute to marketing and student recruitment initiatives.
- Assist in conducting enrolment interviews and managing budgets.
- Contribute to strategic improvements as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Significant experience leading teams in a school setting.
- Experience managing programs and improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of Visible Learning principles.
- Current knowledge of Australian Curriculum requirements.
- High level of ICT and data analysis skills.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Education.
- Eligibility for teacher registration in home country.
- Minimum of 10 years teaching experience in a relevant educational setting.
- Minimum of 3 years as a head of faculty.
Preferred
- Post-graduate studies in Educational Leadership or Educational Management.
- Experience with New South Wales Higher School Certificate requirements.
