The Opportunity:

As the Deputy Head of Secondary, you will provide strategic leadership and support to drive academic excellence and student success. This role is central to shaping the future of the secondary school and ensuring it continues to deliver outstanding results and a high-quality learning experience for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote the school’s mission, vision, and core values across all levels of the school.
• Provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction to ensure high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Support the Heads of Department in achieving and maintaining an “outstanding” rating in inspections and evaluations.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of teaching and support staff to ensure quality and consistency in delivery.
• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure alignment with school priorities and improvement plans.
• Encourage collaboration and teamwork across departments to enhance student outcomes and staff development.
• Engage with parents, students, and the wider community to build strong relationships and support school initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and Taaleem policies across all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within an international school or similar educational setting.
• Strong understanding of the IB curriculum and experience in delivering academic excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large teams effectively.
• Experience in driving school improvement and achieving high inspection ratings.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.

Preferred

• Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
• Familiarity with the Career-related Programme and its implementation.
• Experience in leading professional development workshops and training programs.
• Knowledge of UAE and Gulf education market trends and practices.
