The Opportunity:

As the Head of Mathematics, you will lead a dedicated department and drive excellence in teaching and learning across the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Mathematics Department.
• Support and develop Mathematics teachers to ensure high-quality instruction and student success.
• Drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices across the DP and MYP.
• Promote a culture of excellence and innovation in Mathematics education.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
• Ensure alignment with ADEK and IB inspection processes and standards.
• Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
• Monitor and evaluate performance to improve academic results and inspection outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience teaching within the IB DP and MYP frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a Mathematics department.
• Familiarity with ADEK and IB inspection processes.
• Strong understanding of school evaluation frameworks.
• Commitment to achieving and sustaining high educational standards.
• A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field with a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE, QTS).

Preferred

• Experience in leading departmental improvements and achieving high inspection outcomes.
• Fluency in additional languages.
• Experience with international curricula and cross-cultural environments.
