The Opportunity:

The Deputy Headteacher Curriculum and Raising Standards will lead the development and implementation of a high-quality curriculum, with a focus on raising standards in English and Maths. This role is ideal for an experienced or aspirational leader who is passionate about improving student outcomes and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic planning, review, and implementation of the school curriculum in line with the school’s vision and ethos.
  • Develop and implement a data-informed strategy to improve student progress and attainment across all subject areas.
  • Champion an inclusive and values-driven education that supports the holistic development of students.
  • Inspire and lead change through robust quality assurance processes to ensure consistent outcomes.
  • Promote and sustain the school’s Christian principles and values in all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Support the professional development of staff and contribute to the leadership of the school community.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to ensure the school continues to deliver high standards of academic success and student wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in a senior leadership role, such as Deputy Headteacher or Assistant Headteacher.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and delivery across all key stages.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire staff and students to achieve high standards.
  • Experience in working within a diverse and inclusive community.
  • Commitment to the school’s Christian values and ethos.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in raising standards and improving student outcomes in English and Maths.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Experience in managing and leading large teams of staff.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data-driven strategies for school improvement.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student wellbeing initiatives.
