The Opportunity:
As a Deputy Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in driving school improvement and supporting the Headteacher in leading the institution. This is a leadership position that demands both strategic thinking and hands-on involvement in daily operations, with a focus on creating a positive impact on students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on staff deployment, including timetables, rotas, and daily organisation.
- Take strategic responsibility for a key area within the school.
- Work alongside the Headteacher and senior leaders to drive school improvement.
- Lead a phase within the school and support the development of staff and pupils.
- Be part of the safeguarding team and ensure the welfare of all children.
- Build strong relationships with staff, pupils, and families.
- Deputise for the Headteacher when required.
- Contribute to the overall vision and direction of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a classroom practitioner with a strong track record of impact.
- Successful leadership experience and the ability to inspire others.
- A commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all children.
- Strong organisational and strategic thinking skills.
- The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, pupils, and families.
- A reflective and resilient approach to continuous improvement.
Preferred
- Experience in school leadership and management.
- Experience with safeguarding and child protection.
