The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Religious Studies Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role involves teaching Year 7 and 8 boys following the ISEB Common Entrance specification, with potential for scholarship preparation. The successful candidate will contribute to a high-achieving academic environment and have the opportunity to progress into leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Year 7 and 8 boys Religious Studies following the ISEB Common Entrance specification
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of a diverse range of students
- Maintain high standards of classroom behavior and discipline
- Monitor and assess student progress through regular marking and feedback
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development programs
- Support students during playtime, lunchtime, and school clubs
- Liaise with the Diocese of Westminster on curriculum matters
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
- Commitment to student progress and achievement
- Understanding of school policies and procedures
- Willingness to participate in school events and extracurricular activities
Preferred
- Experience with scholarship preparation
- Familiarity with the ISEB Common Entrance specification
- Experience in working with students across a range of abilities
- Interest in developing leadership skills within the school
