The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Religious Studies Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role involves teaching Year 7 and 8 boys following the ISEB Common Entrance specification, with potential for scholarship preparation. The successful candidate will contribute to a high-achieving academic environment and have the opportunity to progress into leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Year 7 and 8 boys Religious Studies following the ISEB Common Entrance specification
  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of a diverse range of students
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behavior and discipline
  • Monitor and assess student progress through regular marking and feedback
  • Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development programs
  • Support students during playtime, lunchtime, and school clubs
  • Liaise with the Diocese of Westminster on curriculum matters
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Religious Studies
  • Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement
  • Understanding of school policies and procedures
  • Willingness to participate in school events and extracurricular activities

Preferred

  • Experience with scholarship preparation
  • Familiarity with the ISEB Common Entrance specification
  • Experience in working with students across a range of abilities
