The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Principal in the Junior School, you will play a key role in shaping educational strategies and leading enrichment initiatives. This is a chance to influence the future of learning and support both students and staff in a forward-thinking, international environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the junior school’s extra-curricular and enrichment programs
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in strategic planning and school improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and guide teaching staff to enhance pedagogical practices and student outcomes
  • Foster a culture of continuous professional development for staff
  • Ensure the implementation of student-centered, inquiry-based learning approaches
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards and a supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure academic success and personal growth
  • Promote a positive school culture that reflects the values of inclusivity, diversity, and global citizenship

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a teacher, preferably in Key Stage 1 or 2
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to student-centered, inquiry-based learning
  • Experience in a school leadership role or a clear aspiration to move into leadership
  • Knowledge of international education and the IB curriculum is an advantage

Preferred

  • Experience with international school environments
  • Familiarity with the IB Programmes
  • A passion for innovation in education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural setting
