The Opportunity:
As an Assistant Principal in the Junior School, you will play a key role in shaping educational strategies and leading enrichment initiatives. This is a chance to influence the future of learning and support both students and staff in a forward-thinking, international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the junior school’s extra-curricular and enrichment programs
- Support the Senior Leadership Team in strategic planning and school improvement initiatives
- Mentor and guide teaching staff to enhance pedagogical practices and student outcomes
- Foster a culture of continuous professional development for staff
- Ensure the implementation of student-centered, inquiry-based learning approaches
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards and a supportive learning environment
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure academic success and personal growth
- Promote a positive school culture that reflects the values of inclusivity, diversity, and global citizenship
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a teacher, preferably in Key Stage 1 or 2
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated commitment to student-centered, inquiry-based learning
- Experience in a school leadership role or a clear aspiration to move into leadership
- Knowledge of international education and the IB curriculum is an advantage
Preferred
- Experience with international school environments
- Familiarity with the IB Programmes
- A passion for innovation in education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural setting
