The Opportunity:
A Deputy Headteacher is sought to support the Headteacher and lead the school’s development in line with the Trust’s vision. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and school improvement within a dynamic Catholic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Headteacher in leading and managing the school
- Represent the Headteacher at meetings and events as required
- Undertake the professional duties of the Headteacher during their absence
- Work in partnership with the Headteacher to drive school improvement and raise standards
- Model and promote the Catholic ethos and values across the school community
- Support the implementation of school and Trust policies
- Build positive relationships with staff, students, and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of a vision for Catholic education that inspires and engages
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A practising and committed Catholic with a clear vision for Catholic education
- Proven leadership experience within secondary education
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong moral and ethical principles and values
- Ability to lead and inspire teams
- Commitment to student success and school improvement
- Experience in school management and strategic planning
Preferred
- Experience of leading school improvement initiatives
- Experience with school-to-school support and collaboration
- Familiarity with Catholic education principles and practices
- Experience in Continuing Professional Development and training delivery
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare
