Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare engaging and effective maths lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students.
- Deliver high-quality teaching that challenges and motivates students to excel in numeracy.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to ensure all students achieve their goals.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement schemes of work and curriculum plans.
- Stay up to date with best practices in maths education and continuously improve teaching methods.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning.
- Support the school’s Catholic ethos and contribute to the spiritual and moral development of students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching maths at a secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver innovative and engaging lessons.
- Commitment to student progress and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong moral and ethical principles.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering outstanding results in external examinations.
- Familiarity with Catholic education and a commitment to the school’s ethos.
- Experience in working within a multi-academy trust.
- Experience with Continuing Professional Development and a willingness to engage in further training.
