Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  • Promote strong progress and outcomes for all students through effective teaching and assessment.
  • Plan and structure lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support the strengths and needs of individual students.
  • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment through effective behaviour management.
  • Utilise assessment data to inform teaching and improve student achievement.
  • Support the school’s commitment to STEM and extracurricular learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the technology curriculum and student experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology or Engineering.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Design, Technology and Engineering.
  • Experience of teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Experience of working in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching BTEC or T Level qualifications.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on STEM.
  • Experience of working in a multi-academy trust or similar organisation.
