The Opportunity:

As an IT Technician, you will be instrumental in maintaining and supporting the school’s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for staff and students. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality IT services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to ICT support requests in accordance with Help Desk procedures and resolve issues within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Install, support, and maintain IT hardware and services across the school
  • Assist with Trust-wide IT projects by conducting specific testing and providing detailed reports
  • Collaborate with team leaders and other IT Technicians to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and IT best practices
  • Provide technical support to staff and students in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all IT-related activities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in an IT Technician role
  • Strong knowledge of IT best practices, products, and statutory requirements
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support within SLAs

Preferred

  • Experience with educational institutions or schools
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate curriculum
  • Experience with IT project management or testing
  • Knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
