The Opportunity:

As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring students and delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and supportive team dedicated to student achievement and innovation in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons across a range of disciplines, including Hospitality and Catering, Product Design, Graphics, Textiles, and Hair and Beauty.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and share best approaches.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports the needs of all students.
  • Maintain and use specialist equipment and resources to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology.
  • Strong knowledge of KS3 and KS4 qualifications, including WJEC and VTCT courses.
  • Ability to deliver lessons that are creative, practical, and aligned with curriculum goals.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a range of Design and Technology specialisms.
  • Previous experience in a school setting with a focus on student achievement.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching.
