We are seeking an experienced and passionate Design and Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England
  • Foster student creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills through engaging and practical learning experiences
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
  • Participate in the school’s professional development programme, including coaching and evidence-based education initiatives
  • Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme, enhancing student engagement and learning beyond the classroom
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages teamwork and critical thinking
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements in Design and Technology

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge
  • Over 3 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England
  • Proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching the National Curriculum of England
  • Experience of working within a high performing teaching team

Preferred

  • Experience with evidence-informed teaching practices
  • Familiarity with the Cognitive Science Network or similar professional development initiatives
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in developing and delivering extra-curricular activities
