The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Design and Technology Teacher to join our team and deliver engaging lessons in IB MYP and DP Product Design. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students and lead in a fully equipped Design Technology workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in IB MYP and DP Product Design.
• Manage a fully equipped Design Technology workshop with a strong emphasis on safety and creativity.
• Inspire students to design and create innovative products using a range of materials and technologies.
• Develop and implement curriculum content aligned with IB standards.
• Support students in achieving high standards in design and production.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment in the workshop.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in product design.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• IB teaching experience in MYP and DP Product Design or similar subject.
• Strong background in workshop management, including safe use of tools and machines.
• Hands-on experience with Acrylic fabrication, 3D printing, CAD software, and Laser cutting.
• Excellent craftsmanship and ability to motivate students to achieve high standards in design and production.

Preferred

• Experience with portfolio development and student assessment in IB environments.
• Familiarity with cross-curricular teaching and inquiry-based learning.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
