The Opportunity:

A Design and Technology Teacher is needed to inspire and motivate students through a creative and dynamic approach to teaching. This role plays a key part in shaping the future of young learners and supporting their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons to students across all key stages, including A level.
• Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies that promote creativity and critical thinking.
• Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and data-driven assessment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the safeguarding and pastoral care of students.
• Stay up to date with developments in the field of Design and Technology and incorporate these into teaching practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A good honours degree.
• QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching.
• Ability to provide an ICPC and a UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
• Commitment to the school’s values, vision, and purpose.
• Willingness to teach Design and Technology through to A level.

Preferred

• Experience teaching other science subjects to KS3 and/or KS4.
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Demonstrated ability to use data to support student learning.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
