Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons that engage and challenge students
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners
  • Support student progress through effective assessment and feedback
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities, including STEM and technology-related events
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning practices
  • Stay up to date with developments in the field of Design and Technology
  • Contribute to the school’s pastoral and community activities
  • Support the induction and development of new teachers

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Design and Technology
  • Experience in teaching Design and Technology at secondary level
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Resistant Materials specialism
  • Experience with NQT induction and mentoring
  • Involvement in STEM and extra-curricular activities
  • Experience with digital learning tools and resources
