The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and inspiring Maths Teacher to join a leading Maths department. The role involves teaching across the age and ability range, with the opportunity to teach from KS3 to A Level. The successful candidate will contribute to the school’s academic and pastoral programme and support the continued success of the Maths Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Maths across key stages, adapting lessons to meet the needs of all students
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote mastery and student progress
- Support the development of the school’s academic and pastoral programme
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise standards and improve student outcomes
- Use evidence-based teaching strategies and innovative tools such as Sparx to enhance learning
- Identify and challenge gifted and talented students, as well as support those with additional needs
- Maintain high expectations of all students and promote a positive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at all key stages
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to inclusive teaching and raising student achievement
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Preferred
- Experience with GCSE and A Level Maths
- Familiarity with Sparx or similar digital learning platforms
- Experience working with gifted and talented students or those with additional needs
- Previous experience in a high-achieving Maths department
