The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a successful and expanding department. The role involves teaching KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5 in the future. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Food Technology to students at KS3 and KS4.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and practical learning experiences.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the continued success and development of the department.
- Support students in developing skills, independence, and a passion for food education.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the curriculum, including the expansion into KS5.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment that promotes student wellbeing and achievement.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and events related to Food Technology.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s wider educational goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Food Technology.
- Strong commitment to high-quality teaching and student engagement.
- Experience in delivering Food and Nutrition at KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to departmental success.
- Passion for food education and its impact on student wellbeing and future opportunities.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching KS5 Food Technology.
- Background in curriculum development and innovative teaching practices.
- Experience with supporting student independence and practical skills development.
- Familiarity with industry-standard food preparation techniques and equipment.
