Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, well-planned, and differentiated PE lessons across a range of sports and activities.
- Monitor and support student progress, ensuring high standards of attainment and achievement.
- Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum, including GCSE PE, Sports Studies, Dance, and Child Development.
- Support students as a form tutor and participate in the wider life of the school.
- Collaborate with colleagues to raise standards and share best practices.
- Utilize the school’s state-of-the-art sports facilities to enhance the learning experience.
- Promote a culture of physical activity and healthy living among students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physical Education.
- Ability to deliver high-quality lessons across a range of sports and activities.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.
Preferred
- Experience teaching GCSE PE, Sports Studies, Dance, or Child Development.
- Experience with rugby, football, netball, handball, or athletics.
- Early Career Teachers or experienced practitioners with a passion for sport and education.
- Familiarity with outdoor education or the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
