Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, well-planned, and differentiated PE lessons across a range of sports and activities.
  • Monitor and support student progress, ensuring high standards of attainment and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development of the PE curriculum, including GCSE PE, Sports Studies, Dance, and Child Development.
  • Support students as a form tutor and participate in the wider life of the school.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to raise standards and share best practices.
  • Utilize the school’s state-of-the-art sports facilities to enhance the learning experience.
  • Promote a culture of physical activity and healthy living among students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Physical Education.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality lessons across a range of sports and activities.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching GCSE PE, Sports Studies, Dance, or Child Development.
  • Experience with rugby, football, netball, handball, or athletics.
  • Early Career Teachers or experienced practitioners with a passion for sport and education.
  • Familiarity with outdoor education or the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
