As a Design Technology and Engineering Teacher, you will inspire and educate students from Key Stage 3 through to A Level. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and practical Design Technology and Engineering lessons from Year 7 to Year 13.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and aligns with industry standards.
  • Manage and lead a team of students in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Support the development of enrichment activities and employer engagement programs.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic vision and curriculum planning.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, supporting student personal development and wellbeing.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Design Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Design Technology and Engineering at Key Stage 3 and above.
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and challenge students.
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching and meeting the needs of all learners.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE, A Level, and BTEC qualifications.
  • Knowledge of industry partnerships and employer engagement.
  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership.
  • Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and facilities.
