As a Design Technology and Engineering Teacher, you will inspire and educate students from Key Stage 3 through to A Level. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and practical Design Technology and Engineering lessons from Year 7 to Year 13.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and aligns with industry standards.
- Manage and lead a team of students in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Support the development of enrichment activities and employer engagement programs.
- Contribute to the school’s strategic vision and curriculum planning.
- Act as a Form Tutor, supporting student personal development and wellbeing.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Design Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Design Technology and Engineering at Key Stage 3 and above.
- Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and challenge students.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching and meeting the needs of all learners.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
- Experience with GCSE, A Level, and BTEC qualifications.
- Knowledge of industry partnerships and employer engagement.
- Experience in curriculum development and leadership.
- Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and facilities.
