Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons tailored to the needs of students requiring additional support.
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans to help students improve their academic performance.
- Work closely with colleagues to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach to student development and well-being.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the English department.
- Support the school’s mission of 'Success for All' through innovative and effective teaching practices.
- Stay up to date with current educational research and best practices in intervention and literacy support.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
- Strong subject knowledge in English and a commitment to student success.
- Experience in teaching students requiring intervention or additional support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering targeted intervention programs.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices and differentiated instruction.
- Experience with assessment and progress tracking tools.
- Knowledge of literacy support strategies and resources.
- Experience in a school with a strong emphasis on community and student well-being.
