As a Food Technician, you will play a key role in supporting Food Technology lessons (KS3 & KS4) and ensuring a safe and well-organised learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients, materials, and equipment for Food Technology lessons (KS3 & KS4)
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene regulations
• Maintain and organise food technology classrooms and storage areas
• Support teaching staff during practical lessons
• Manage cleaning, stock control, and safe storage of equipment
• Assist in the implementation of risk assessments and food safety protocols
• Work independently and as part of a team to ensure smooth operation of the department

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Previous experience as a Food Technology Technician or similar school-based role
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and risk assessments
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

• Experience working within a secondary school environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Knowledge of Food Technology curriculum and teaching practices
