Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Maths at KS3 and KS4, ensuring students make good progress and enjoy their learning.
- Create and maintain a disciplined and stimulating classroom environment.
- Monitor and support student progress, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to the development of teaching resources and schemes of work.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development.
- Provide regular feedback to students to help them achieve their full potential.
- Support students through form tutor duties and wider pastoral responsibilities.
- Ensure all external examination requirements are met and standards are exceeded.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a strong knowledge of Maths and its examination specifications.
- Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to create a motivating and disciplined learning environment.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
- Background in continuous professional development and leadership opportunities.
- Experience in contributing to examination papers and marking.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
