The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Maths at KS3 and KS4, ensuring students make good progress and enjoy their learning.
  • Create and maintain a disciplined and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitor and support student progress, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching resources and schemes of work.
  • Attend and participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development.
  • Provide regular feedback to students to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Support students through form tutor duties and wider pastoral responsibilities.
  • Ensure all external examination requirements are met and standards are exceeded.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong knowledge of Maths and its examination specifications.
  • Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4.
  • Ability to create a motivating and disciplined learning environment.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative teaching resources.
  • Background in continuous professional development and leadership opportunities.
  • Experience in contributing to examination papers and marking.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
