Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Mathematics in leading and managing the department.
  • Drive outstanding outcomes through effective teaching and strategic planning.
  • Model excellent classroom practice and inspire both students and colleagues.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and implement innovative teaching strategies.
  • Lead assessment, data analysis, and intervention strategies to maximise student progress.
  • Support the professional development of department members.
  • Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A highly effective and passionate teacher of Mathematics.
  • Proven track record of securing strong student progress and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential or experience within a department.
  • Commitment to high expectations, inclusion, and student success.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Experience in data analysis and assessment strategies.
