Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Technology and Computing to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets GCSE standards and promotes student achievement.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and digital literacy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s leadership and character development programme.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements to ensure teaching remains relevant and impactful.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven ability to teach Technology and Computing to GCSE standard.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality, innovative teaching that drives student achievement.
  • Demonstrated success in raising pupil outcomes and engagement.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with leadership or character development programmes.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and digital tools.
  • Experience with teaching in a disadvantaged community or a multi-academy trust.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
