The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Design Technology Teacher to join a successful and dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students at KS3, GCSE, and A Level and to work in a school with excellent resources and a strong track record of academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Design Technology across KS3, GCSE, and A Level with a focus on Product Design, Food, Textiles, and workshop practices.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons using CAD/CAM technologies, including 3D printing and laser cutting.
  • Collaborate with a strong and supportive team of specialist teachers.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students within the Design Technology department.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports the school’s Catholic ethos.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design Technology.
  • Experience teaching across KS3, GCSE, and A Level.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM and workshop tools and processes.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience with Product Design, Food, and Textiles.
  • Familiarity with 3D printing, laser cutting, and relevant software.
  • Experience in delivering CPD and mentoring other staff members.
