The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Art Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through creative learning and to contribute to a school that values innovation and inclusion. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Design Technology, including resistant materials or graphic design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Art and Design Technology lessons to students across a range of key stages.
- Create engaging and innovative lesson plans that align with the school’s vision and curriculum requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and student participation.
- Support students in developing their artistic skills and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning and school initiatives.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events that promote student engagement and well-being.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Art or Design Technology.
- Strong knowledge of Art and Design Technology curricula and teaching methods.
- Ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons to students of all abilities.
- Commitment to the values and mission of a faith-based school.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Design Technology, including resistant materials or graphic design.
- Familiarity with the school’s ethos and values, including community engagement and inclusion.
- Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
