The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Art Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through creative learning and to contribute to a school that values innovation and inclusion. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Design Technology, including resistant materials or graphic design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Art and Design Technology lessons to students across a range of key stages.
  • Create engaging and innovative lesson plans that align with the school’s vision and curriculum requirements.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and student participation.
  • Support students in developing their artistic skills and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning and school initiatives.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events that promote student engagement and well-being.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Art or Design Technology.
  • Strong knowledge of Art and Design Technology curricula and teaching methods.
  • Ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of a faith-based school.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Design Technology, including resistant materials or graphic design.
  • Familiarity with the school’s ethos and values, including community engagement and inclusion.
  • Experience in developing and leading extra-curricular activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
