Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Design & Technology
• Support students in developing practical skills in resistant materials, textiles, electronics, CAD/CAM, and food
• Foster creativity, problem-solving, and confidence through hands-on projects
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and improve teaching standards
• Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Stay up to date with curriculum developments and innovative teaching strategies
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of a wide range of courses at Key Stage 4
• Promote the core values of kindness, resilience, and pride within the department

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with experience in Design & Technology
• Ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Strong knowledge of Design & Technology subjects, including resistant materials, textiles, electronics, CAD/CAM, and food
• Commitment to student achievement and inclusive teaching
• Experience in delivering high-quality, innovative lessons

Preferred

• Experience with GCSE Design and Technology, Engineering Tech Award, and Construction
• Familiarity with Hospitality and Catering courses
• Experience in a supportive and collaborative team environment
• Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of learning
