Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Utilise a range of teaching strategies to enhance student learning and achievement.

  • Support the development of students’ knowledge and skills in Geography.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum developments and incorporate them into teaching.

  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching Geography at the appropriate level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with professional organisations such as the Geographical Association.
