The Opportunity:
As a Music Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality music education to students across all key stages. You will inspire creativity, foster musical talent, and contribute to a dynamic and successful Expressive Arts Faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality music lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Support students in achieving excellent results in AQA GCSE and A level Music courses.
- Collaborate with a strong and experienced team of Expressive Arts faculty members.
- Organise and lead termly concerts, music festivals, and masterclasses.
- Utilise a well-equipped music department with specialist resources and instruments.
- Encourage student participation in ensembles such as Concert Band, Brass Group, String Group, and Rock Band.
- Promote a culture of excellence and inclusion within the department.
- Work closely with peripatetic teachers to enhance student learning and performance opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in music education.
- Strong knowledge of the AQA GCSE and A level Music curriculum.
- Experience in delivering high-quality music lessons to students of all abilities.
- Ability to manage and lead a range of performance and ensemble activities.
- Commitment to student success and a positive learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to music ensembles or performance groups.
- Experience with Gold Artsmark award or similar music accreditation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in reducing teacher workload and promoting effective teaching practices.
- Passion for music and a commitment to the arts in education.
